When the answer isn't to hire — but it isn't to hire just anyone either
Mid-sized companies frequently face the same problem: they need a specific technical profile for a specific period of time — a sysadmin while infrastructure is being redesigned, a Microsoft 365 specialist during a migration, an on-site helpdesk technician for a new branch, someone covering the maternity leave of the IT lead. Hiring full-time makes no sense: when the project ends, the person is surplus. And hiring a freelancer with no structure behind them is gambling with a critical role.
Professional IT outsourcing solves precisely that gap. At Impulso Tecnológico we provide technical profiles on our own payroll (we don't sub-subcontract to third parties), with active certifications, proven experience and, most importantly, a backbone: behind the technician joining the client there's a senior Impulso team they can call to resolve any question within hours. The client isn't left alone. And if the assigned person goes on leave or moves to another project, Impulso guarantees continuity of service without management having to run a hiring process again.

Profiles we provide
Our payroll covers the full range of IT roles mid-sized companies demand, with real production experience — not "fresh certification, zero hours in production" profiles:
- System administrator (Windows / Linux): server management, Active Directory, hybrid Exchange, VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation, corporate storage.
- Network administrator: switches and firewalls (Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos), corporate WiFi, segmentation, SD-WAN, VPN.
- Microsoft 365 / Azure specialist: migrations, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform.
- Google Workspace specialist: tenant administration, migrations to and from M365, Vault, identity management.
- Cybersecurity technician: endpoint, EDR/XDR, incident handling, hardening, continuous auditing.
- Helpdesk technician (T1/T2): user support, workstation deployment, office-software support.
- IT project manager: leading infrastructure, migration or transformation projects with a tested methodology.
- Functional analyst / IT-business consultant: when the missing piece isn't technical but a translator between management and systems.
All profiles come with a detailed CV, verified certifications and, where applicable, an interview with the client before assignment. We do the selection — but the client can veto.
Service models: whatever fits each case best
IT outsourcing isn't one-size-fits-all. We work in four main models that combine depending on the case:
- On-site: the technician works physically at the customer's offices, embedded in their team. Ideal for roles needing physical presence (plant helpdesk, campus technician, administrator of a private datacentre).
- Remote: the technician works from our premises or from home, with secure access to the customer's infrastructure. Ideal for roles that don't need physical presence and where cost or geography make on-site impractical.
- Hybrid: the most common — some days on-site, others remote. Balances proximity with efficiency.
- Dedicated vs. shared team: a dedicated team works only for the customer; a shared team splits time across several customers with fixed allocation (e.g. 50% at client A, 50% at client B). Shared is cheaper and good enough for many needs.

Cover for absences, peaks and one-off reinforcement
A very common use case for outsourcing is contingency cover for internal IT teams:
- Sick leave or maternity/paternity cover: when a small IT team temporarily loses a key person, service keeps running with an Impulso technician who integrates quickly because they have the back-up structure behind them.
- Holiday cover: especially important in summer and at Christmas, when a three-person team can't all be away at the same time.
- Project peaks: during a large migration, a new-branch opening or a one-off rollout, the internal team gets overwhelmed. Impulso adds reinforcement during the critical period and withdraws when it's over.
- Targeted geographic coverage: a customer with a Lisbon office needing a local technician three days a month — the cost of a local hire plus dedicated structure doesn't pay off; outsourcing does.
Multi-country support: Spain, Portugal and beyond
A significant share of our customers are companies with international operations: Spanish or Portuguese subsidiaries of multinationals, Iberian groups with presence in Latin America, industrial companies with sites across several European countries. For those cases, IT outsourcing doesn't work well if it only covers Madrid or Barcelona — it has to cover every site with a homogeneous service level.
We operate active clients in 25 countries. The way we do it combines our own staff in Iberia (technicians in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Lisbon) with certified partners in other markets, centrally managed from our office. The client has a single point of contact, a single contract and a single SLA — even though there may be five local providers coordinated behind the scenes.

Flexible contracts, no trap clauses
One of the most common complaints about IT outsourcing is contractual rigidity: long lock-ins, penalties for reducing scope, opaque clauses. Our model is the opposite:
- Contracting by hours, days or FTE-equivalent depending on real need.
- Quarterly scope review: if the customer needs to expand, we do it without renegotiating; if they need to reduce, there's a reasonable notice period (60–90 days) with no disproportionate penalties.
- Trial periods for new profiles: if there's no cultural or technical fit in the first weeks, we replace.
- Full cost transparency: the customer sees what the technician earns, what margin Impulso applies, and what that margin covers (structure, training, replacements, senior backup).

How we work
Every outsourcing request enters through an initial conversation (1 hour, phone or in person) → profile and model definition with SLA and closed cost → proposal of one or several candidates with CV, certifications and, if the customer wants, prior interview → onboarding with documentation (access, contacts, expectations) → monthly service review with customer leadership and IT lead.
If you need to cover a technical profile this week, call +34 91 505 7575. The first conversation is free and, in many cases, we can propose a candidate within 48–72 hours.
