The challenge
An international consultancy had grown through a decade of acquisitions, integrating teams across 12 offices spread between Spain, the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands. The result was a fragmented landscape: three separate Microsoft 365 tenants, two outdated Windows Server versions, four uncoordinated local support providers and a corporate identity split across non-federated active directories.
The symptoms were predictable: duplicated incidents, tickets bouncing between providers, runaway licensing costs, staff unable to collaborate across offices and a growing security risk from permissions inherited over years without an audit.
The solution
We designed a 6-month plan along three simultaneous tracks:
- Identity consolidation. Migration of the three M365 tenants into a single one with Entra ID as the master directory. Clean-up and reallocation of licenses by real usage profile.
- Infrastructure standardization. Progressive replacement of obsolete hardware with HP and Dell devices on a common corporate image, managed via Intune with unified compliance policies.
- Unified support. Replacement of the four local providers with a single 9×5 point of contact, per-site SLA, clear escalation and a client portal with full incident visibility.
Each office was migrated in a 5-day window with an on-site team and remote back-office support. Zero data loss, zero planned downtime outside the communicated milestones.
Today we remain their single corporate IT provider, with quarterly roadmap reviews and support on every new acquisition.
