The challenge
A construction-sector multinational opening a new Iberian HQ in a 4,200 m² building with 3 floors, an annexed warehouse, a loading area and outdoor parking. They needed everything operational in 8 weeks: day-one activity with certified cabling, corporate WiFi across the whole surface, access control and video surveillance integrated with their parent-company policy, and a phone number to call when something failed.
The challenge was coordination: civil works ran in parallel, manufacturer lead times allowed no delays, and the parent company required vendor sign-off in each discipline (Aruba for the network, Verkada for physical security, AENOR certification for cabling).
The solution
We took on the project as the single contractor responsible for the complete IT and security package:
- Structured cabling. Shielded Category 6A certified by AENOR, OM4 fibre between the racks on each floor and patch panels organized by functional zone. Full certification handed over to the client on completion.
- Aruba WiFi. 38 WiFi 6 access points distributed to guarantee gap-free coverage across offices, warehouse and outdoor parking. Separate SSIDs for corporate, guests and IoT with per-service QoS policies.
- Verkada. 24 cloud-managed IP cameras with 30-day retention, card-based access control and a mobile app on the 5 strategic doors, integrated with the parent company's visitor system.
- 24/7 managed support. Coverage for the critical systems (network, physical security) from day one of operation. Single point of contact with escalation to the manufacturer when appropriate.
The project was executed in 6 phases coordinated with the works' project management, without delaying a single opening milestone.
Today we are their corporate IT provider for the Iberian HQ and we work with the parent company on a replicable model for upcoming EMEA openings.
