José Maldonado is the founder and Business Development Partner of Impulso Tecnológico, the IT consulting firm he created in 2000, today serving close to 800 clients across 20 countries. Over more than 25 years he has built the company’s strategy, technical team and nationwide support network, defining service models, SLAs and standards for corporate environments. Earlier he founded and chaired TecnoIdea (2007-2019), an artificial-intelligence engineering venture applied to video, tied to the University of Alcalá de Henares and Spain’s CEIPAR programme. His time in the financial sector as IT Manager at Schroders and Robert Fleming —where he was named “Employee of the Year”— gave him deep experience in systems migration and standardisation in mission-critical environments. He blends business insight, technical judgement (IT consultancy, AI, web development and design) and, after five and a half years living and working in the United States, is fluent in both Spanish and English.
